The Lord's Prayer
Our Father which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
-Matthew 6:9-13 (King James Version)
"The most important lesson we can learn is how to pray. Indeed, we must pray so that our prayers take hold of God. The man who has done the most and the best praying is the most immortal, because prayers do not die. Perhaps the lips that uttered them are closed in death, or the heart that felt them may have ceased to beat, but the prayers live before God, and God’s heart is set on them. Prayers outlive the lives of those who uttered them—outlive a generation, outlive an age, outlive a world. Prayer is no fitful, short-lived thing. It is no voice crying unheard and unheeded in the silence. It is a voice that goes into God’s ear, and it lives as long as God’s ear is open to holy pleas, as long.as God’s heart is alive to holy things. The mightiest successes that come to God’s cause are created and carried on by prayer in God’s day of power. When God’s church comes into its mightiest inheritance of the mightiest faith and mightiest prayer, the angelic days of powerful activity occur. God’s conquering days are when the saints have given themselves to mightiest prayer."
E.M. Bounds "The Purpose of Prayer" (Whitaker House), 1997, pg. 7-8
Have you thought about praying? It can be a comforting way to find the clarity you may be seeking. Isaiah 40:31 reminds us that even in our toughest moments, we can draw strength from God’s eternal nature. His promises offer hope and support when life feels overwhelming. In our vulnerability, it’s important to remember that God’s majesty can be a refuge for us, empowering us to rise above our challenges and soar like eagles. You're not alone in this; there is strength to be found through faith!

Many barriers keep us from praying, but for Christians, prayer should be a proactive first step rather than a last resort. It’s important to remember that God is always attentive to our prayers, inviting us to approach Him first with our concerns. Instead of becoming anxious or overwhelmed by your circumstances, give them to God. Choosing to pray fosters peace and opens the door for God to bring change.

We can find comfort in knowing that God has a purposeful plan for our lives, one that is intentional rather than accidental. Everything that happens is not by chance; God moves redemptively and thoughtfully edits each chapter of life that we experience to bring about good.
Imagine God reassuring us: "Don’t be overwhelmed by the uncertainties around you. These circumstances are not unexpected; I am in control and seated on My throne. Remember, nothing is too difficult for Me. I am still writing your story."

God's direct guidance on dealing with worry is clear: we should not let worry consume us. He tells us, "Do not be anxious about anything." When we encounter concerns, we are instructed to turn to Him in prayer, expressing gratitude for His provision in our lives. The message is to approach Him in every situation, presenting our requests with prayer and petition, along with thanksgiving: "In every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." Put it into practice.

Take time to talk with God. He's yearns to speak with you. It's impossible to live life as a Christian and not communicate with God. He is a Father waiting to hear from you.
"Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you, declares the Lord." Jeremiah 29:12-14
